the hate for the prequels was for an entirely different problem than what most media faces today
the prequels sucked in the sense that they broke the basic rules of filmmaking very often. like you'd have one character speaking in the first shot, the other character speaking in the second shot that looks identical to the first shot, and then the camera snaps back to the first character with exactly the same shot, things like that. and dialogue seeming wooden. those are big issues when you're expecting the movie to be competent and have standards

movies now however don't have those problems, their problems are different. the scripts and the actors are being chosen by people who actively loathe the IPs they're supposed to represent, and it results in bafflingly bad storytelling that feels more audience-hostile than anything else. when you have such massive issues, something like bad camerawork feels like a non-issue in comparison

You literally cannot. You just have to accept it's literally over. There's no reversing what was done and the ubisoft game exemplifies all of the problems with modern star wars. It's a joke now, it's hard to describe what it is, but it's like the shittiest watered down parody of what star wars ever was. It takes an entire shift of the way of being of these companies to be something that would be in place in the early 2000s and anything less is too little.

Like what other anon said, the prequels are bad for the pacing, cinematography, acting, writing and the more technical elements. The sequels are bad because the people who made them reviled the audience, and many of the decisions made in the films were made out of spite for the previous director, or for the audience. That is the crux of what is wrong with TLJ and ROS. Does George, the man, deserve the hate because he sincerely tried and made a few mediocre movies? No.

To some extent I don't really think the hate wore Lucas down. I think he lowkey was in on the memes as evidenced by the fact he put the infamous "nooooo" at the end of Return of the Jedi in the bluray version. I think it really comes down to the fact that he was 70 in '15, that there was still appetite for a new trilogy, and that he didn't want to spend his last decade on this earth making Star Wars movies.

Not really. They were literally made for kids, unlike the OT where the tone felt somewhat more mature. George did not make the prequels for adults in any way, despite them having more action scenes and violence, because the CGI really makes it feel cheesy and all the character's motivations are kind of stupid and not well thought out, because George wanted to force his galactic conspiracy plot so bad. EP3 is arguably the best one, so just watch 1 & 2 for the sake of enjoying the 3rd.
