it's just a testbed version of starfield for tes6 engine overhauls, you can literally see it on steamdb called lumen. they're not actually going to overhaul starfield itself

You mean the same framework beat to death shit engine they've been using since TES3

It cannot be redeemed tho, the engine limitations just don't allow for that game to work

What game charges for updates
>>
>>729012973
Gamepass has been an absolute disaster for Devs because people realized they could spend like 8 or 10 bucks to test out games rather than the 70 new games now cost.

Big fixes and some reworked mechanics? How impressive! Too bad the core game still sucks.

can they just have the entire team focus on tes 6 so it doesn't release in 10 years

>>729013643
Why the fuck did they publish that fucking teaser S E V E N fucking years ago? What a stupid fucking decision to blue ball your entire community and I'm not even a fan of ES (nothing against it either).

Reminds me of all the cope this guy had to pull for Mindseye getting a second launch that'll make it all worth it.

Considering it got people talking, no it was not

Cyberpunk. The ps4 version of the game stopped being updated after a while. So if you want to play the current versions you need a ps5 or pc basically
>>
>>729012938
Everyone who played it seemed to like fallout shelter. Until this most recent update at least.
>>
>>729013398
Nah Cyberpunk's overhaul of perks made combat really fun.
If Starfield suddenly patched in Cyberpunk combat I'd play it forever.

The fundamental problem 2.0 couldn't fix was all the lame forced story but the actual playing of the game is great now. In a way it actually suffers now from not having enough big fights, something a procedural game like Starfield wouldn't have an issue with (if they magically gave it good combat)
>>
>>729013236
You have to pay for the horizon zero dawn ps5 upgrade.
Game barely looks different too.
>>
>>729012731
You can't fix the most boring, shitty and ideologically charged OC donut steal sci-fi setting in history with patches. Fuck man I hate it so much. Do you have any idea just how much resources there are out there now for workshopping sci-fi world building and writing now? There's no excuse for this to have ever happened, you could binge Isaac Arthur videos over a weekend with a gallon jug of vodka and come up with something better and more interesting than Starfield.
>>
>>729015012
This was easily my biggest issue with Starfield. The setting and lore is just shockingly boring and uninteresting.

>If Starfield suddenly patched in Cyberpunk combat I'd play it forever.
I can kind of get on board with that. Sometimes when I'm bored I just see how many trauma team drops I can beat before I die and its unironically very fun.
>In a way it actually suffers now from not having enough big fights, something a procedural game like Starfield wouldn't have an issue with
The procgen needs a lot of work, its just not good even compared to Daggerfall. They could've had procgen cities and settlements as well as dungeons, with any number of more interesting themes with what we know about exoplanets now but they blew their asset development load with the main story (that no one likes or wants to do) and unique assets committed to it. There's no way to fix that now, even with mods no one competent has shown any interest in a comprehensive procgen overhaul.

No one is buying up your paid shill Todd
We all know it will have the same flaws as ever just with a texture swap and some pseudo "new mechanic".
I applaud you tricking players into playing infinite NG+++++ tho. You don't even need plot anymore.
>>
>>729013987
the teaser is irrelevant. they could've never shown it and it'd still be absolutely fucking ridiculous that it's been this long since the last entry with still no sign of it. the fact that they've released shit games in between has just made things worse
>>
>>729012731
CP had a few things going for it, this has nothing of interest whatsoever.

Let's play No Man's Skyrim 2.0

Hey, we are in a Starfield spaceship in space. Let's "fly" to that planet.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
We are in orbit around the planet. No point in exploring the planet because there's only one repeating city on the planet?! Fine.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Well, the game landed the ship for us. Let's get out of the ship.
>*cut scene of exiting the cockpit to hide the loading screen*
Okay, let's click the ladder to leave the ship.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Well, let's walk around the city. Oh, here's a building. Let's go in.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go up to floor two. No stairs? Here's an elevator. Let's go in.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
On floor two now. Nothing to see here. Let's leave this building. Back in the elevator.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
On floor one now. Let's click the door to leave.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Maybe there is something to do somewhere else. Hey, here's a train. Let's get in
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Okay. Another area of the city. More buildings to click to go in. Nah, let's leave this planet. Back to the train
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's walk to our ship. Click the ladder again to enter the ship
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go to the cockpit. Click the chair.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's ascend.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
Let's go to another planet.
>*cut scene to hide the loading screen*
So, fast travel is the only way to travel in this game? There is no driving or any actual flying, landing, or ascending? There are world cell loading all over the place? Fuck this, Bethesda.
*rage*
*clicks settings*
*clicks exit to main menu*
>are you sure?
*clicks yes*
>loading
>main menu
>click any button to continue
*clicks button*
*clicks settings*
*clicks exit game*
>are you sure?
*clicks yes*
>loading
*crash to desktop*
*uninstall.exe*
>>
>>729012731
You mean there's going to be a second version that essentially turns it into Fallout 4 where after you get the ship you crashland on a planet that actually has content and the whole game revolves around that and ignores the whole space and 100 boring planets part?
It would certainly be an improvement.
