play the first one first you donut
>>
>>729014078
it's the story worth it? i'm mainly interested in gameplay
>>
>>729014307
the story is a direct continuation. gameplay isnt much dfifferent between the two. I have a hard time finishing long games but the story was interesting enough for me to finish both. big part of the games is being immersed in a somewhat realistic representation of the time period and I would say its a pretty slow burn
>>
>>729014078
>finally get time to play it
>couple hours in, totally random dialog option sends me into girl boss dlc with absolutely no warning or recourse
>stuck trying to play the game as a woman before I've even figured out how to play at all
>hours of trudging through retarded queats
>give up on the game

That's my experience with kingkong cum 1
>>
>>729013978

>but gay!!!
dont care not gay so didnt fuck hans game was kino and fun
>BUT TWITTER

I'm still not done with it after more than 200 hours at this point (some portion of that time was spent afk). I've done most content there is to do, though. I just finished the Sedletz monastery DLC, and it was interesting. Brushes with Death was also pretty good. Legacy of the Forge is your slice of life sim. I guess the main thing is that this game is absolutely huge, between two regions and an assload of content. I find that the first game is more memorable, but that's just me. I think the main quest in this game has thus far been more interesting than in the first game.
>gameplay
It's very dialogue heavy, with skill checks being an important vehicle for delivery, so if you're not interested in spending a lot of time in dialogue, then maybe you'll get bored. However, that's what RPGs are, so I don't know what to tell you. The combat is a bit better than in the first game, but not much has changed, and it pretty much boils down to master striking or parry/riposte. It's perfectly serviceable, but it's sort of brain dead.

It's worth playing if you liked the first one.

These guys play with each others cocks, ignore them. Don't get it OP. Even ignoring the woke stuff, which there IS a lot of and it is annoying, it's just a downgrade from the first game.

if you like faggots, jewish comedians, girl bosses and genius mary sue muslims in a game about medieval europe you'll love this trash
>>
>>729013978
KCD1 is better and the only game you should play to be honest.
>>
>>729013978
Imo no, I consider it a let down both mechanically and in terms of story when compared to the first game.

No. Also, don't get the first as the second retroactively ruined it by making Henry and Hans gay.
>>
>>729013978
Best game to come out this year, but I loved the first one as well.
>>
>>729014307
2 is a little less janky. You could always play 2 and then if you like it check out 1
>>
>>729013978
The combat in the first one felt floaty, you spent the first 5 strikes or so dealing fuck all damage due to armor and then your opponent fell over dead.
Is the second one better?
Maybe using maces helps this I don't know.

If you actually play the game you can tell it was extremely expensive to make and has an absolute shit ton of content, voice acting, expensive cutscenes, etc., if Vavra didn’t alienate the chuds I doubt it would have this steep a discount

Most standard bandits, even the stronger ones, appear to have an armor rating that dwindles over time, just like you. You don't see that feedback, and I'm just speculating based on experience. You hit a character, his armor absorbs the brunt of your attack, until it doesn't and he starts taking real damage. This is evidence by how quickly unarmored foes will die compared to enemies wearing various combinations of plate armor. On top of this, it seems like certain parts of the body take more damage than others. You'll deal more damage if you strike an unarmored foe on the head or chest than their limbs.

Every weapon deals three types of damage, but some specialize in one over another. For example, maces and blunt weapons deal blunt damage, so they tend to erode an enemy's armor more than swords do, which makes them good against armored foes. Heavy weapons are best of both words when comparing them between blunt weapons and slashing weapons, but they're slow and cumbersome to use. Swords are the most well rounded, but don't particularly deal incredible damage, so you'll be left chipping away at armored foes until they're vulnerable enough to take real damage.

It seems like none of this applies to specific story related fights, where the player is otherwise handicapped or the opponent is otherwise given a specific advantage (the final fight at Sedletz monastery, for example). If you lean on swords, you can just master strike and riposte your way through the game the majority of the time.

I don't think I even had to use my weapon. Just the damage from won clinches would net me the win.

It's very immersive and involved. There are a shit tonne of mechanics and things to do. It's really easy to get lost and immersed in the game. You could embark upon a story mission to raid a camp, die a couple of times, realize it's too hard, decide to poison their food instead, need to brew poison, check the vendors but they don't have the stock you need, explore the forests foraging for ingredients, get distracted by some juicy wild game you would like to hunt, equipment is not quite adequate, go to town, it's dark so enjoy rest and a couple of games of dice at the tavern, spend the next day smithing some new equipment at the forge, bump into another NPC who has a proposition for you, embark upon another quest, etc. All while keeping on top of the survival mechanics by sleeping, eating, and drinking. Not doing so will give you debuffs. Bathing is optional but you get a big charisma debuff by not bathing and wearing clean clothes.

It's quite possibly the most immersive RPG I've played. I don't often play this type of game, and I don't usually like survival mechanics, but both games were a shit load of fun and I spent countless hours in them.

Perhaps my favourite thing about it is it's one of the very few games I've played with believable scale to its locations. The towns and cities are about the same size as with a Bethesda game, perhaps a little bigger, except the game isn't pretending you're in the capital city of an entire continent which is inexplicably one square mile in size with a population of 100. It's real locations, small towns and settlements, almost 1:1 in scale with some minor truncations, you can check on google maps.
>>
>>729013978
It's like a shittier betheslop rpg with "realism" and awful combat. If that sounds like a good time then yeah buy it.

yes, but play kcd1
the gameplay is awesome. feels like someone finally focusing on the parts of wRPGs that I enjoy. it's a slow burn though. I wasn't sure about it until about 6 hours in when all of the world building and mechanics clicked into place and I felt the deepest sense of immersion I've felt in an rpg since my youth.

if someone wants to make a less woke version by all means I'll say it's better. but this game has no peers basically.
