There aren't enough space shooters in general, and the ones we have are made on lower budgets. I'm playing Rebel Galaxy Outlaw and it serves well enough as my off-brand Han Solo simulator, but the graphics are less than stellar and for some reason the protagonist is an ugly butch bulldyke, as if that would appeal to the guys who play '90s-style space games.
