How does Valve being privately traded make it pro-consumer?
>>
everyone itt should reply to me instead of op
hi everyone are you having a merry christmas this week?
>>
>>729019589
its sunday
>>
>>729019589
yeah I spent $25 on steam to give out some christmas gifts to people, it's great
>>
>>729019589
I am concerned by how fast the time is passing. It was the beginning of december just a week ago I swear
>>
>entire global economy for computer parts is fucked
>wtf why wont steam make more steam decks?
>>
>>729019504
It doesn't inherently, it does however make sure that the kikes can't force you to do their usual.
>>
you had your chance
>>
those publicy traded companies are so much nicer
>>
>>729019792
Why are PS5s on discount right now then?
>>
>>729019504
How is discontinuing a product that they made a sequel to anti-consumer?
>>
>>729019504
because it allows them to freely focus on their own goals and ambitions and not solely on investor ROI which often results in anti-consumer practices
>>
>>729019589
yiss
>>
because the lcd model is a waste of memory and everyone prefers the oled
there's a reason it's the only one to get discounts

Privately traded means a good CEO can still do good things without getting sued for not making line go up.
When a company goes public they're beholden to the shareholders and have a fiduciary responsibility to screw the customer for quarterly gains.
>>
>>729019504
Jews cant affect their business
Its as pro consumer as it can be
>>
It doesn’t.

Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
>>
>>729019504
It just makes it not pro-shareholders
>>
>>729019504
Name a single pro-consumer publicly owned company.
>>
>>729020605
>Artifact fanbase
deserved
>>
>>729019504
it won't be overtaken by the jews
>>
>>729019504
>>729019589
muhahaha
>>
>>729019815
This. Being privately traded doesn't determine if a company will be pro consumer since the guy in charge can still be a greedy kike, but it is a requirement.
Basically, A (being private) doesn't neccessarily lead to B (being pro consumer), but B can't be true unless A is.
>>
>>729019589
nearly finished wrapping
>>
>le pro-consumer
>le anti-consumer
completely meaningless terms that tend to just mean "I like this company" and "I don't like this company"
>>
>>729019589
I'm working everyday until Christmas
But I'm trying to stay in the spirit

These
Privately traded means as long as the lights stay on, and people keep wanting your shit, you're good. You can make the same amount of money this year as last. You can turn your profits back into the business, your employees, or whatever weird side project you want. If you have five million dollars just sitting in your pocket, you can do whatever you want with it.
Publicly traded means you MUST make more money than last year, by a wider margin than last year, every year, and a bunch of people who don't care about your business besides a way to make money can start calling shots. If you have five million dollars just sitting in your pocket, you are probably about to be sued by the board of investors for that five million.

>noooo you MUST produce and support hardware forever and make software available for every operating system even though there is no support available and it opens customers up to risk nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>deck uses 16gb of ddr5 ram
yeah, it's over.

Trying to move dead stock like most stores and discounts?
>>
Legally speaking Valve isn't compelled to do financially suicidal anticonsumer bullshit although publicly traded companies had this legal stipulation not existed could engage in ethical behavior.
It's not an either or situation, it's both that Valve is personally motivated to not be fags, and also not being legally compelled to be fags.
>>
because they answer to customers rather than shareholders?
>>
>>729019589
A better one that shitass OP is.

>>729021610
Maybe. But in the meantime I will kick your ass at CS or some other game. Or maybe the other way around. Take it or leave it.
>>
>>729019504
>we are discontinuing our shitty model and only selling the better one now
How exactly is this anti-consumer?
>>
>>729019983
Because the price increases haven't hit yet.

>>729019589
Going pretty okay, some nose thing I've got related to my deviated septum is really fucking me up and making me sneeze a lot though.
Christmas lights were a huge miss since I'm living with a total retard that buys shit on Amazon without doing even the tiniest speck of research, so half the lights we have are comically short as fuck while the other half were some fragile meme lights that break if you breathe on them, or were being sold for parts through some reseller and weren't actually working.
>>
They don't need to humour shareholders who only care about profit and nothing else
>>
>>729019983
Nobody is buying the digital only shit.

corpocucks will FORCE you to fuck over your customers to sate shareholders that need the number to go up indefinitely
>>
>>729023792
Actually, legal standing as written, Valve wouldn't even be accountable to actual shareholders, but hypothetical shareholders that are entirely malevolent.
>>
>>729019589
I'm having a jolly time.
>>
>>729019589
My mom randomly said she wanted a smartwatch last month, so I got one for black week from amazon and they sent more premium model instead.
It was early Christmas gift and when my dad saw it, he wanted one as well.

Anyways I'm playing Atomfall right now and I'm enjoying it.

Privately-owned company = monarchy/tyranny whose king may be good or bad but cannot be changed
Publicly-traded company = democracy that will inevitably degenerate into an ochlocracy due to shareholder demands for short-term profits

i'm being incredibly sexually fulfilled in ways i won't disclose on a blue board, can't complain
>>
>>729019504
It dosnt have jews forcing shittier products and blacks/women into the staff of Valve.
>>
>>729019504
Publically traded companies are legally obligated to prioritize shareholder profits at the expense of everything else. This results in short-term-thinking and short-term profits at the expense of long-term planning, creative and artistic integrity, and so on

Perfect example would be to compare star wars under George Lucas vs Disney
>>
>>729019589
its been pretty nice. snow on the ground, pc parts bought in the nick of time.
>>
>>729019589
yeah, thanks for checking in
