Nintendo is discontinuing the Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle.They'll probably replace it with a new game like Pokemon.
MKW was supposed to be the main launch title. Now that launch period has passed, why even make the bundles anymore?

MKW has 200 maps that are essentially straight lines with almost no environmental interactions. The open world is barren and unlocking things is just boring and braindead. They are at least aware of this and trying to fix it from the last update, but it needs another two years of overhaul. It is objectively a worse game than 8 at this point. If you're buying a Switch 2 for the first time, then get MK 8, Sonic Crosswinds, and Air Riders, and you'll have more fun than what MKW costs and maybe revisit it in another year or two.

Mario Kart World is comfyWhenever I feel like winding down for the day, I boot up the sandbox and drive around to travel and unlock some shit. They could have done better by having less stickers and maybe custom paint jobs, car accessories, and stuff like that.

The current offerings are at best "fine" but not worth the $70-80 Nintendo values them at. If anything, their issue is putting a poor first foot forward that undermines "Switch 2" as a brand for an unmistakably new generation, and mostly treating it as a Switch Pro or extended runway for the Switch 1's twilight years. NOTHING has defined the Switch 2 as a distinct next-generation leap for Nintendo so far (especially since most of the first-party games are either crossgen games or began development as Switch 1 games).
