Now that the dust has settled, what do you actually think of this game?
>>
I think it's neat

Good game

It's a great game, an A-tier action game.
If the DLC manages to be really really really good, like unlikely levels of good, then it might become an S-tier action game.

I'm new to NG. I've played a few platinum games and all DMC games and I think it's pretty good.
It's as hard as I expected. But what the fuck is with these checkpoints. Cutscenes replaying NPC dialog repeating, having to rebuy skills. Who the fuck playtested this and thought "yeah that's not annoying at all"
That first demon boss has the radio chatter over half the fight.
>>
good combat
bland environments
forgettable story
too many rail sections

Unfortunately, it falls short in the area where the series has always excelled above the rest of the industry: ryona.
The enemies don't do anything to you.

I don't even have to play it to know for sure that it's crap. Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 looked so cool I wanted to try them out and I'm playing them now. But when I look at Ninja Gaiden 4 I don't feel anything, I don't want to do anything with that game.
