Just started playing X4. Any tips for beginners? I'm using a controller for flight (still figuring out a better button layout) and KB+M for everything else, should I do story modes before a "normal" playtrough?

So best to combine it with your natural progress in the sandbox.Upgrade your ship to a katana which you can buy from the terrans. It's a pretty good allrounder.

I like Elite Dangerous for example, I've played it on and off every now and again, strategy games on the other hand I've never even tried. Is this game easy to learn? Then you buy a couple more ships and start a trading route. You expand to several other sectors and start dealing in multiple trade goods. Then you construct your own space stations and start several production chain lines. Then you make enough money to build your own fleets. You compete with other races either through trade or warfare. Eventually you become the master of the galaxy and quit out of boredom, or start a new playthrough.>Is this game easy to learn?Far from it.

>>729032451cradle of humanity is nice to have since it adds a lot of sectors and an alternative economy and production chains. split vendetta is pretty good as well. kingdom's end leaned heavily into nostalgia for boronsenvoy and hyperion packs, timelines and tides of avarice aren't too important
