They really flesh out the world and plot at best, and give ya nice EXP and loot too.They're usually a bit above your levels, but I'd say as long as the level-gap is less than 10 lvl in total, they're quite easily doable with right team and skills.Same with optional challenge locations on the world map; if your team's ~level 40, level 50 enemies should only posses a fair challenge, but level 60-70 are out of your league.What comes to playing the game in general, I really started to enjoy it once I found my "main character" to play as - as in, the character whose playing style fit my tastes the best.That character then pretty much stayed as my Party's "leader", while the other just "accompanied him" in a sense. I then cycled through the entire Class Zero to keep fairly even levels, though my King was some 20+ levels above the average of the rest at best.Oh, and collect SPPs, Phantoma and Kill Sight-kills, a lot, early on! Those extras you gain from doing so will be delicious, and help you carry your team.

ff13 versus looked so good. 13 was overproduced to hell and I feel that to this day the company still hasn't recovered. 14 kept everything alive and squenix kept siphoning that money off to their AAA games like forspoken and the 7 remakes. It's pretty crazy that both of the 7 remakes had a higher budget than 16. really makes you wonder why 16 was even made to be a mainline when it felt like they were so uninterested in even making it.

I love the concept of Type-0 (FF with blood and losses) and love many of the characters except yuki kaji. And it had the all-time best seiyuu ensemble cast.When I played it on the PSP I got to the final boss and realized I was too unprepared and underleveled but it locked me out to level outside again so I never beat it. :(

The story makes no sense and you have to go out of your way to collect these novel sized logs just understand the story and even then it takes multiple playthroughs just to get them all. The gameplay is "decent"....for a handheld game. The remaster doesn't fix anything in that area so it still continues to play like a handheld game but on modern systems and its a very lazy done remaster at that.The game was part of a failed project that was rekindled at the last minute before release and changed from Agito to Type-0 while distancing itself from FFXIII's world.
