I played Deus Ex and Morrowind last year without prior experience and yeah they were good. I mostly just play multiplayer shooters or survival slop with minimal story with friends because the worldbuilding made by modern writers never makes for a interesting single player story usually. They were the only "new games" I bought that year just for the single player experiences as far as games I hadn't played before and I got into the worlds of them.
