im tired of being demoralized, make it stop
>>
>>729044541
devs made the goyslop known as Dispatch instead of finishing this game so i think its never going to come out
>>
>>729048621
The only way to make it stop is to make everything stop. Seems like I'll be doing that pretty soon.
>>
>>729044541
Now that the devs made kino known as Dispatch, TWAU2 is gonna release right after season three of it, which itself will release right after the fifth Critical Role collaboration game
>>
literally just read the comics.
>>
>>729044541
yeah this shit is never coming out lmao

No thanks.

I thought that meant pour him a drink. what kind of madman suddenly turns around and savagely smashes a bottle on another person's head?
>>
>>729044541
Not worth it. The author had a fit over DC's politics and made Fables public domain. Technically another dev could make their own TWAU and swoop in to steal their hype among Telltale's other issues.

They're typing out every dialogue choice in full after the "glass him" retards complained too much, so it's taking a bit longer.
>>
>>729044541
In-between the original 2019 (!!) announcement trailer and now they've had significant layoffs and restarted development like three times for no reason. I don't even want to imagine the state this game would be in if it does come out at this point.
>>
>>729050550
He made it public domain? Lmao based. Fuck DC.

I liked the comics until they got The Guy then replaced him with The Dark Guy and I read maybe 10 issues and just lost interest.
>>
>>729051313
Maybe Ad-Hoc can just buy the rights

welcome to fabletown, nigga
>>
They were retarded and made some shit nobody cared about (the expanse?), had to do a bunch of layoffs as a result and then part of their team broke off to make dispatch. So I have almost 0 hope for them the new company seems more like a bunch of griftets than anything.

>>729052561
AdHoc was always a separate thing but they were working in collaboration with the new Telltale company on Wolf 2 for a while until they just stopped making any development progress or communicating so the devs had to move on and finish Dispatch
>>
>>729052629
does this actually happen in katawa shoujo? i never played that game
>>
>>729052561
>some shit nobody cared about (the expanse?),
honestly i tried watching the first season because i see people raving about it from time to time and it was the most dog shit sci fi show i've seen since the 100. i don't understand the appeal at all.

>Fuck DC
Seriously
https://billwillingham.substack.com/p/willingham-sends-fables-into-the
>More recently, during talks to try to work out our many differences, DC officers admitted that their interpretation of our publishing agreement, and the following media rights agreement, is that they could do whatever they wanted with the property. They could change stories or characters in any way they wanted. They had no obligation whatsoever to protect the integrity and value of the IP, either from themselves, or from third parties (Telltale Games, for instance) who want to radically alter the characters, settings, history and premises of the story (I’ve seen the script they tried to hide from me for a couple of years). Nor did they owe me any money for licensing the Fables rights to third parties, since such a license wasn’t anticipated in our original publishing agreement.

>When they capitulated on some of the points in a later conference call, promising on the phone to pay me back monies owed for licensing Fables to Telltale Games, for example, in the execution of the new agreement, they reneged on their word and offered the promised amount instead as a “consulting fee,” which avoided the precedent of admitting this was money owed, and included a non-disclosure agreement that would prevent me from saying anything but nice things about Telltale or the license.

>And so on. There’s so much more, but these, as I said, are some of the highlights. At that point, since I disagreed on all of their new interpretations of our longstanding agreements, we were in conflict. They practically dared me to sue them to enforce my rights, knowing it would be a long and debilitating process. Instead I began to consider other ways to go.
So he didn't get paid for TWAU, an unknown script possibly for TWA2 deviated so heavily from the source that he objected to it and he knows any legal battle between him and DC would drag into his 70s. He's got ideas about IP too.

>script possibly for TWA2 deviated so heavily from the source that he objected to it
Well then, I lost hope for TWAU2 long ago but if Fables author got so assblasted over what AdHoc (persumably, but what other script?) wrote, then I can only hope Telltale isn't retarded enough to throw it out the window. Having the Fables author hate the script is the biggest sign of it's quality
>>
>>729044541
I'm gonna say it like this anon, there's a higher chance of a fifth (5) season of The Walking Dead games happening than The Wolf Among Us 2 ever releasing.
>>
Took almost ten posts for the Israel-promoting comics to be mentioned.
>>
>>729053051
>publisher signs up author
>years down the line they creatively reinterpret agreement and piss and shit on the author
>dare the author to try to sue for his rights
these are the megacorporations that tell you to "respect intellectual property rights"
and then publishers have the gall to screech about piracy
>>
>>729055345
He mentions how the people he signed the deal with were replaced over time by cunts who didn't respect it, which really justifies his position on IP sales only being valid for 10 years.
>>
>>729048951
I read the comics, but the game was far more memorable and impactful.

>>729053051

>(Telltale Games, for instance) who want to radically alter the characters, settings, history and premises of the story (I’ve seen the script they tried to hide from me for a couple of years)

They were probably going to make it literally gay as fuck.
>>
>>729056713
I wasn't talking about him. I was talking about DC and other big publishers, which hypocritically attempt to get everyone to follow IP laws and threaten to sue the shit out of everyone while simultaneously shitting on the authors they publish
