I've probably put 20 hours in it and am nearing the game's current endgame. The most recent update basically put you on a timer where the game tries to fuck you over the longer you take. They've since toned it down, but I don't have the patched version to compare. I don't care for timed runs.The weapons and abilities are cool once you level them up and everything comes together. I'm not entirely sure what the game's planned endgame is supposed to be. I'd buy it for $20.
Have about 50 hours bought it on steam release game is very good but IMO wait; the last update they did makes maps harder the longer you are in them which is good but fills them with a real ugly fog so much so can barely see anything + fog slows movement speed down to a crawl which feels real bad + timer means can't have on shittier gear trying to level have to have reasonably leveled up stuff if on the map too long which also feels bad.Weapons feel good to shoot, having stats with interesting perks at stat break points, guns with interesting passive and active powers, good mix of build potential with above + spells etc. just great game but latest update could really use some tweaking. I personally just dicked around a bit in this update and am now going to wait for 1.0. Was fun playing through EA as areas were more or less distinct from one another so new update just meant new stuff in new area. Last couple of updates have focused on game systems as a whole though so big sweeping changes to earlier areas etc. so makes more sense to wait.
