After the move to LA, shortly after the ((merge)) from TechTV to G4TV they started shitting on japan regularly, as well as hyping Xbox over Playstation. This wasnt just xplay, it was the whole network. Just a part of game journalism becoming more corporate. Xbox paid more, japanese companies didnt. Jews who owned the network hated japan, so they shit on japan. Simple As.

A large part of why Xenosaga 3 was like this was because it was originally supposed to be a six game epic, Episode 2 didn't do so hot so they were only allowed to make one more game. They had to close as many loose ends in that one game as they could. Frankly, I can't say that Xenosaga 3 was a particularly great game. It had a ton of flaws and just kept throwing new concepts and ideas at you with no real breathing room, trying to wrap up every single subplot raised in the previous two games. It's not hard to understand why normalfags didn't like it.

One genuine truth that is rarely talked about or alluded to. Is that western game developers were friends were with western games media. And western game devs had an antagonistic relationship towards Japanese games because it was their competition. Other western games may have technically been their competition too, but western competition was composed of former/future friends and colleagues, while Japanese competition was distinctly foreign and plainly a threat to your potential success. So when wester game devs had discussions with western journos/critics and discussed games/the industry, even if they didn't intentionally shit on Japan/Japanese games for being Japan, had a strong tendency to view them less favourably, even if simply subconsciously, and thus spoke of them less favourably too. This was then reflected in how western journos/critics wrote of games in games media. Developers who were knowledgable, respected, or occasionally even personal friends, had given you broad insights on videogames and the state of the medium and industry at large. For a multitude of reasons you trust them and take their words and perspectives to heart. Thing just is. These people had a strong tendency to be varying degrees of biased anyway. So the perspectives that were shared with the writers and critics of games media was biased too. Often times these biases might have been small. But compounding effects is still a real thing which is why the entire western media sphere had a growing bias-problem that often grew to points where the bias was no longer small. And to some degrees a lot of these biases persist to this day. Even after the western and eastern industries are a lot more connected than they used to be.
