Cloud Imperium Games division is finished, they only have $900,000,000 left in tax rebate and won't last 90 days top, their loan with Crytek force them to exclusively fake Sq42 & SC on Space Citizen 32bits engine owned by Crytek to improve cryengine because they couldn't afford the TOTALLY FREE Unreal Engine 5 fees, Crytek sued Crobert because he stole Cryengine engine code hidden in Lumberyard. They even sold out 10% shares to a marketing company only motivated with selling the game.

The playable demo is so fake it's generated by computers,
Players can only lumber in a few solar system of tiny 7x7Mm spherical atmospheric maps. Pushing the flight-ready button just start the prerendered cinematic take-off QTE animated script, you can tell how railroaded it is when the tester veers the JPEG Capital Sip outside the flight corridor invisible intangible wall and move out of the fake volumetric cloud hiding the fake Starwars-level setting, while fake 3D NPC spaceship, factories, landfill, mines and vegetation scroll around you,

Without a HDD it takes forever for the game to go through the interactive loading-screen quantum-drive cut-scene and traverse the tiny star systems map into a "jump point" (lol, more like space waterslide) and then surprise new nebula star system. Proof they can't even do loading screens right.

It's just like their 1.0 Live gameplay reveal of Squadron42 mission-disk and its fully simulated Potemkin epic fleet battle hiding blatant story-driven scripted campaign start.

The ALWAYS ONLINE alpha 4.2 barely have basic gameplay loop like space battle, coop missions with FPS fight against NPCs, exploration of inhabitable planets, trading, mining... stuffs every AAAA space simulator can do! It's not even seamless because they transfer all 500 players fleet from shard to shard without them noticing!
