Explain to an outsider what is wrong with this IP?

Same as Paper Mario. Some of the modern games are from different game genre entirely.

It became directionless ever since the move away from turn based combat. Also they're desperately trying to chase the high of when FF was a premier series that set milestones in gaming history. What those retards dont understand is tech moves so fast nowadays, your game is definitely going to get left behind when its been in development hell for 10 years.

>How to fix?
Listen to what old school fans want, just do that, and stop chasing trends like Game of Thrones FF16.
Also copy and paste the FF7 remakes combat system for the next few entries and stop trying to reinvent the wheel.

Niggas in a row uncslop for skibidi chungus boomgroid gooners

They stopped making a new entry every 1-2 years due to their obsession with staff bloat and higher production values.

People would be less sorry about something like XVI or XV being shit in one regards or another if they weren't literally the only two mainline FF releases this past DECADE.

Nothing, its just lesser franchises fans with inferiority complex
