this game feels late 2000s in a bad way. most nothingburger shitty plot of all. Even the first game has better moments and it was a cliche fest.

I just remember thinking the skill trees being very underwhelming (and XP no longer being split up in agi/combat/surv), didn't like the emphasis on looting these dark areas for mats and grinding zombies didn't feel very rewarding. DL1 would shower you in experience if you threw a propane tank into a horde of zombies at night, now it's like "k bro here's 0.5% of a level, do more quests for 50,000 exp if you want to progress"
