I loved Baldurs Gate 3 because it was the first game since Dragon Age Origins that had that level of CRPG mechanical complexity coupled with big production presentation. But when they're handcrafted and devs have to think about what to put on them, you might end up with something like articles about crimes using the devs names, a black and white effect used on a photo of a childhood home, or any other number of creative solutions that elevate the simple texture into another component elevating the final result of the devs work, and results in further discussion of the work down the line as people share fun facts about the newspaper clippings online. Pretty much any creative element you use AI on is immediately limited to being exactly what it needs to be and nothing more as a best case scenario.There's no tree with scratch marks in OOT with AI, there's no "ILL MAKE YOU EAT THOSE WORDS", Warcraft characters wouldn't have started out voiced by random employees they'd just have a generic orc voice.Why would I ever want a machine to make something perfect for me?
