The ugly fact that you need to accept is that this series became a victim of its own increasing stakes. The need to give players increasingly more impactful climaxes has ruined the quality of the writing and characterization. Contrived plots, overbearing characters with an abundance of gimmicks, and unsatisfying payoffs are rife now.

Great Ace Attorney 1 was low stakes and everyone hated it, fans are never right

Wife Thena a cute

This shit is the reason why I hope that they never make AA7
The need to just let the series die or go back to doing what made the og trilogy so loved and memorable

Why did they introduce ANOTHER attorney when apollo was only just introduced?
>>

I hate how the later games have overarching stories, it just makes the game very predictable. I know people like AA3, but 3 out of 5 cases having one character be so central made it so boring and a slog to go through.
I think my favourite case in all of AA has to be case 2-4, it had a good balance of stakes and twists, it was fun slowly unraveling what is going on but also how you were gonna get out of the dilemma you are in.

They probably realized too late that Apollo would've been more popular if he was a cute girl instead, so they tried to correct it too late.
>>

Because Yamazaki was afraid Apollo wasn't going to popular enough to headline a new entry. It wasn't until after Apollo won the post-DD Japanese popularity poll that he put him front-and-center in SoJ...while making Athena into everyone's punchline.

Its hated because its a bad game, not because the stakes are low.

because they needed a new fresh assistant for dusted off phoenix and since dual destinies has zero connection to kurain village maya had to go.

It was a right choice but they should have killed off that faggot Apollo.
Hopefully he is not ever seen again and he would rot for eternity in not-Tibet.

Because apollo sucked
Why the fuck change pw? He is fucking iconic
Same with Maya
>>
>>729100767
And they were utterly wrong, because Athena never appears in any top 10 poll.

Most AA fans are either gay or fujos.
>>
>>729102503
Agreed.
>>
>>729095481
Not really. AJ didn't suffer from the issues that DD and SoJ do. The reason is the new writing team that sucks.
>>
AA4 did the "dark age of law" so much better than 5 which wouldn't shut up about it. All the people you defend are criminals of varying degrees and Apollo couldn't win a case for almost all of his clients with conventional means and had to resort to either fake evidence, forcing a confession because they'd be fucked harder if they didn't or having a whole new jury system implemented just to fuck one guy.

#1 in my heart and that's all that matters...
