Fuck PC ports, I wanna see an overhaul mod that makes the game structurally closer to OoT (i.e. not having so much aggressive plot gating, and having the second half's dungeons offer variability in completion order). Maybe also overhaul some of the items to incentivize more usage for them. I'd also look into consolidating some shit. For example, if I had full control, I'd replace the Slingshot with a "toy" Boomerang that doesn't have wind powers, and then have THAT replaced with/upgraded to the Gale Boomerang in the Forest Temple.

You can throw the program at something like Ghidra to convert it into binary, which you then have to re-write or translate into something readable like C, or C+ or whatever. That's assuming that what you're looking it is a clearly delineated file. It's possible the binary combines actual code with texture files or whatever, which will decompile into binary, but will absolutely not translate to C or whatever, or if it does, it will do something unintended. The bigger the file, the longer it takes for a CPU to decode it individually too, and so with bigger more complicated games, it will just take longer from a sheer speed standpoint.
