Medieval 3 is in pre production. CA seems to be going for a fully transparent dev cycle in regards to med 3 so as to gain some good will back.They made an 1h stream where they showcased the pre production of the game and the things that they are fucking arround with in the new engine. And showed a good chunk of the campaign map, which still in very early development (still only with flat colors and some shit and some parts have nothing at all). and some of the mechanics they tinkering with for med 3, like being able to actually place castles and ports anywhere on the map. They said that they were going to make one of those streams to show case the state of the game regularly, starting next year, so that they can get player feedback starting from pre production. Which makes me thing that they are really desperate for getting some good will back.

CA has been a fucking dumpster fire leaving products to rot since Empire, and they've only gotten substantially worse since then.
