Discuss Mega Man
I went back and replayed all of Classic and X.Damn, X is way worse than I remember.
>>729104230Misadventures of Tron Bonne is truly a hidden gem. There are so many different mini-games, the servbot management is adorable, and for some reason, the aesthetics of the game and characters remind me of Toriyama's designs.
>>729104425Not even X1?
im so fucking excited for dual override /v/rosalso i love mega man zero 4 i used to play it on the toilet while taking a shit. i got good enough to s-rank the whole thing and unlock all the minigames. the last one is a crystal matching game with the z-knuckle that is fun as fuck
The guy who played Joe in the Light up the Night video died. He has a sticky on /tv/
>>729106685>im so fucking excited for dual override /v/rosSame here. I hope Capcom is sincere when they say they want to make Mega Man a core franchise again.
You guys should read the Mega Man X3 manga, some Anon, was kind enough to upload the whole manga in English.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mk3OsiXHZuc
>>729107560Probably not but hard to say. Classic in 2027, SF collection next year and the usual merch sales with MMX this season.
>>729106251fuck off troon boone faggot
>>729108581>rollshart still malding
So what do you think the dual override mechanic is going to be?
>>729106685I never get it when people make MMZ4 out to be an unnecessary addition to the series, it's really fun in its own right and the actual ending is a much better ending to the series than if it just ended on 3. I don't like the portrait art though.
>>729107795I thought they just called him X in Japan, not Rockman X.
>>729107556DOCTOR WILY BOTS AIN'T SHIT
>>729111089It's X but they take liberties with it.
>>729111089It's just X everywhere. That's just a showcase of how retarded sidecontentfags are.>>729104230 (OP)I'm ecstatic. I'm too big of a Mega Man fan and have played nearly every game in the series. So the fact that Classic and Star Force are both spearheading this resurgence at the same time is magical. I never expected to get a SF collection. And I love Star Force. I can't wait to snuff out Gemini Noise users in SF3's online. And I'm very hyped for Dual Override.
i am getting much enjoyment from my battle network collection
>>729106306I meant on the whole.X1 is good. The only flaw is that some of the Maverick stages are a bit easy because they needed you to be able to clear them with no dash. X2 is also good. Arguably better in a few places. The X Hunter levels suck ass, though, and FUCK the final boss. The rest have huge issues I didn't remember them having or were WAY worse than I remembered.
Read the Archie book, too. And Brazilian Mega Man.
I only played X1-X4 and I think I dodged a bullet from playing X5 onwards.Honestly even X1 feels so good to control that i'm mindblown that it plays better than many modern games today.
>>729104230I played the MM11 demo back when it was new and I remember it filtering me but I enjoyed it. Now that it's on sale and I'm in a MM mood thanks to MM12 being real, I finally bought it. It's fun and I made Block Man eat shit after all these years, which feels good.
>>729107795Nice find
I don't think I have ever been filtered as much as I have in my life. There is no way I am going to try that achievement which requires doing that crazy challenge.
>>729112507With the Improvements Addendum hack, X5 becomes tolerable, but it's still a downgrade from 4 in many ways. You can tell that they got their budgets slashed, which is probably why Inafune immediately aimed to do a finale rather than chance and fight on it further. X6 Tweaks also takes steps to unfuck that game but it still has flagrant issues of its own. It's one of those cases where you have to figure if you're here for the ride or here for the depths. Not even N's Edition really saves X7 from being boring, though.
>>729104230I played megaman x4 when i was a kid and again when i was a teen. Was one of my favourite games of all time and I never bothered to play any other megaman game.I think at the time i saw that x5 and x6 had the same art style and wanted to give them a shot.
>>729112504>Read the Archie bookDon't do this.
>>729112507Honestly, X5, X6 and X8 are worth trying and forming an opinion on. They're deeply flawed, but they're also not really as safe as the "good ones" either either. They all tried to do something that was their own, for better or (usually) worse. If you can, play X7 for about 10 minutes to understand what you're looking at, and then promptly move on.
