Homestretch Haste right as you're crossing the finish line? Recovery skill right out of the gate? These are not rare occurances. In the time it takes to train Wit, you could be using for more of the core stats.Wit training also caps blue balls. Where other balls give you like, 15-20 extra stat, Wit seems stuck at a around ten, which often DISINCENTIVES going to Wit training when you probably should, because you're wasting a blue ball that could be more powerful somewhere else. The game makes up for this significantly by increasing the energy gained to around double, which is worth it. HOWEVER!!!We must divorce Wit training from the actual Wit stat. I think Wit training is a nice option and a solid gameplay feature. I do go to it. But focusing on Wit just doesn't have the same returns other trainings do. Because Wit increases your skill activations, but those still require an element of randomness. Whereas Power, for example, does the opposite by letting you power through random blockers.And here's the final kicker? Say you don't train Wit. You're still getting all your abilities. And they'll proc at a roughly lower percent, but you'll be able make up for it in spades with the other time invested in stats. The opportunity cost can not be overstated, just try to do a career while countering my claim. Watch the races.I would rate Guts above Wit. I think Guts is slept on, actually. But still balanced. The one thing keeping it from becoming a god training is the extra energy and failure.
