i downloaded this shit when everyone here was shilling it and it all sucked and had very little substance. i think the only two games that did were the horror game and the one walrus game. even that was just derivative of shit that actually existed in the flash game era, which is what makes it not feel right. the genre didn't exist in the time it wants to emulate.

all of the games are either clear copies of shit that existed back then or shit that existed in early 2000 on newgrounds. nothing original about it.

I've actually been in the mood to play it again lately. Cherry'd Mini & Max, Divers, Vainger, Attactics, and probably something else I'm forgetting. Gilded Lords of Diskonia. IDK what I'm going to do when all the long play games are gone. I kind of hate arcadey games.

The disc game is the one that makes me want to rage quit. Having a huge material advantage and having the enemy kill 5 of your discs with 1 bullshit move is so frustrating. I still win the campaign but it doesn't feel good.
Not excited to cherry it, although I haven't heard anyone complain about Diskonia cherry, hopefully that means it's not awful.

Avianos is legitimately the best game in the collection, but it might not be for you. Like I didn't even bother with the cowboy rpg because its just not my cup of tea.

The other day there was a thread about how convenience is the death of sovl in vidya and i’d say this game encapsulates this perfectly. Modernizing these games just puts them in an ugly middleground where they feel too “modern” to be retro and too retro to be modern
