True. I wish they had ignored the impatient children and delayed the last major patch release until it was properly tested.
But I guess they were getting pressured by the publisher too.

Boreslop.

City Builders are the most difficult genre in the world and it makes me angry that I like them in theory, but fail at every attempt to play them. One day, if I'm lucky, I'll be able to play The Guild 2. But I can't even play Rimworld without building fucking commieblocks let alone a city builder. I fucking hate having no design nor logistical ability so much it's unreal.

For me, the hardest part is just starting. I like having a strong foundation to build off of.

Well thankfully it hit 1.0 recently

Worth buying yet? I played a bunch with a pirated copy when it first came out but past beating the first attack back there didn't seem much to do.

Expanding into other areas seemed more detrimental than worth it too. Had a lot of fun just building a cozy village though.

isaac and his mother lived alone in a small house on a hill

Hot take: Bellwright is better than Medieval Destiny and Manor Lords.

It's pretty damn comfy, but I haven't played in a while. Saw the big patch they put out recently and might check it out.

Also played after the initial release, but bought it during a sale about half a year ago. There is a lot more in it now, so I'd either recommend giving it another download or picking it up in a sale if you have the money to spare.
Scope has gotten a lot bigger and they apparently implemented AI now that builds up alongside you in neighboring provinces, but not sure how ironed out it is yet, since I haven't played the patch yet.

I think I prefer the bird's eye view more. Not a fan of most 3rd person survival crafters.

There is also Saelig if you like those kind of games

I understand the goal is a more slow paced, realistic take on a city builder but I wish it would take some of the "story telling" bits from something like Rimworld. Random events like a war in a nearby kingdom causing your map to get a flood of refugees/more raiders/etc, or a plague breakout, blight on crops, etc.

>early access slop shilled almost as much as E33
>no fucking updates
More like Manure Lords.

It just got a pretty big update.

I tried playing this game but expanding to a new region is so fucking frustrating. I get that to make it realistic you are required to evenly trade between regions so that's fine. But the UI itself is so annoying the top bar doesn't swap cleanly when moving between regions. If they are going to make balance changes to force us into having multiple towns/regions they need to make it more fluid to use.
