McCree is extremely useful if you have the skill. With Mercy buff you can one hit kill Tracer, Widow and Sombra. Flashbangs can slow down Doom and Ball.

McCree is either completely useless and outclassed by other DPS or pretty good, they increased his falloff range and gave him good perks so he's in the pretty good park for now.

Honestly perks as a whole is kind of a good bandaid fix for powercreep, just add new wacky shit to old heroes and give new heroes perks that do almost fuck all, dota also sort of does this with facets and reworks
