It depends on what you seek. In 2026 the answer would be either OSRS (if you want cool quests, bosses, grinding, leveling) or WoW (raid/dungeon simulator).

Is there somewhere you can actually play it nowadays?Albion Online is fun if you like PvP, it's like if WoW world pvp was actually good and not just a bunch of max levels griefing people. It really captures that sense of going out alone in an unforgiving world where you need to constantly watch your back and be ready to defend yourself against other players, almost like the whole game is a massive never-ending battle royale or something. I stopped playing because that kind of gameplay actually does get somewhat stressful after a while, and the need to constantly re-make your gear after losing it gets tedious
