Now that the dust has settled, was it _fun?
It wasn't the worst game I've ever played but I should have returned it when I saw the yellow paint on the wall and saved some money
guy above is retarded. it's absolute kino and platinums best game
>platinums best game
>>729123529If you treat it as mindless entertainment that doesn't demand anything from the player then it's alright.
>>729124684you have never played the game. post your play time
Is Sigma 2 or Black 2 better?
>>729123529Yes. Best gameplay of 2025.Bayonetta 1 is better though.
The best analysis for this game is:No, it’s not a good game. Platinum needed a project to keep cash flow running. This was just another project for them. Another source of revenue. They reused assets from mg rising, and the game is just generally dogshit. Play NG2
>>729124992the best analysis for you is you should kill yourself
>>729123529I didn't find the game to be enjoyable. it felt less like a character action game and more like a hybrid between hack & slash and musouseori a cute tho
>>729123529It's the best game of 2020-25, kind of a high bar considering Sunbreak released in that time frame. It's the most polished NG game ever made, and one of the tightest action games ever.I had a weird dream last night where I was playing as Optimus Prime fighting a boss that was 2 Decepticons and using very NG4 mechanics/parries. FYI I've never played that Transformers game
>>729123529>can't say it great like any of the older games>has to resort to using subjective buzzword to shill itI'm sure you're having a Blast™, OP
>>729125430>NG secondary is also a MH secondaryMakes sense
Maybe it should have had some ass and tiddies like stellar bladeGenderswap ryu and yakumo with some magic and put them in skimpy outfits. Instant hit
>>729125517Anon I've beaten every 3D NG and every MH gen excluding 1, even Frontier up to musous (didn't bother with them)you should kneel
>>729125259>musouit plays nothing like a musou.
>>729123529Know someone who immediately regretted being a retard and buying into the hype, describing it as way more mindless compared to other entries, so i'd definitely say no
>>729125823its a lot of button mashing (and buttons that come pre-loaded with dozens of hits, making it harder to grasp the timing for combos) and wide, sweeping AoE attacksthat to me feels like musou
>>729125942i think you have brain damage. there is no button mashing at all. and sure there is wide sweeping attacks that you can do, like in blood mode, so what? lol. you don't know what a musou is. post your play time
I was dead set on beating it on MN but I just hate how they balanced it. dying in 2 hits from random goons when there is so much going on isnt very fun. thats the one thing I agree with the ng2 tards, its better to be overwhelmed and slowly chipped away than whatever it is that platinum tried to do with MN on 4still a fantastic game however
I can't get the timing down on Magatsuhi's blood attacks. Any tips?
>>729126139>so what? lol.you seem way too emotionally invested in your own opinion of the game so I doubt any conversation with you can be meaningful or productive
>>729126541everything you spewed was nothing but drivel, so yeah, you're right in a way.
Maybe I sound like a pleb here but does anyone else hate these fucking gauges in action games. If an enemy does this big charge up red attack that I'm really supposed to be parrying, why do I hit the special attack button and do a regular attack>nooo but you see you didn't have enough bloodrage gaugeyea that sucks and isn't fun.
>>729126416let go when the attack connects
>>729126818That should help. Thanks. I thought it had a visual tell with the thruster or something. If an attack were to hit multiple enemies do you let go on the first or last one? Or does it matter?
>>729125259if anyone more level-headed is willing to talk about why you think it's a good character action game then I'm all ears
>>729127063Parries, dodging, dodge offset, perfect dodging, blocking, perfect blocking, bloodraven parry/blocking, berserk state, bloodbath kill, bloodbath slaughter, all done seamlessly well. combat is engaging, combos are insanely well done, AI is great, music is engaging, etc.now fuck off retard. go play your musous
>>729125259how the hell did you get musou out of this? the enemeis in normal difficulty are so spongy that you should be able to juggle them if you're skilled enough,
Is Ninja Gaiden Master Collection a good way to play the first 3 games? Is NG2 Black better than Sigma 2?
>>729128018I never got the feeling that it took skill to juggle enemies in NG4also are spongy enemies, long range AOE attacks, and juggling not core aspects of musou games?and besides, I said only a hybrid, that it feels partly like one. I'm not accusing NG4 of being one in its entirety, apparently that's tantamount to the highest level of disrespect around here even though to me it's just the japanese take on hack & slashit just feels like a button-mashy hack and slash game with really poor defensive mechanics and not as grounded or engaging as other character action games
>>729124827Black 2 is better, but both are worse than vanilla NG2 on the Xbox series X.
>>729128464YesYes
>>729128496What kind of shit do you play that doesn't have aoe attacks, juggling and "spongy enemies"?
I liked it, still playing it, tho, haven't gotten to a Ryu level yet. I just wish Yakumo had a sheath for his swords, I know he is supposed to have blood magic, but, still.
>>729125735Sure you have
>Ayane won't be playable in the DLCPROFOUND SADNESS!
I'm planning to play through NGII, NGΣ2 and NGIIB back to back to see the differences myself.
>>729129031I think you're misunderstanding my point. those aren't necessarily bad elements to have in a game, but I feel NG4 was over reliant on those things which is where, to me, that musou feeling came frombut again, ONLY IN PART. I don't get why you guys are hyperfocusing on such a small part of my overall complaint>it just feels like a button-mashy hack and slash game with really poor defensive mechanics and not as grounded or engaging as other character action gamesencounters in NGB feel more tactical, almost turn-based. you're given a toolset and left to figure out how you wanna incorporate them yourselfNG4 encounters are frantic and feel like sensory overload. the tools you're given have clear cut and distinct use cases that make encounters feel more like a series of call and response
>>729130696>action games should be turn based>NG4 encounters are frantic and feel like sensory overloadYou sound like a boomer,or a retard, either way you should unironically commit suicide
>>729131384you have to be intentionally misunderstanding me at this point
>>729129402perhaps one day you'll be a man>>729128464I'd say yes, for how many hours you can get out of those three games it's a steal. At the very least it's the best way to play 1 and 3
>>729129394Sweet Ninja Jesus, Seori is STACKED.
it seems that all the praise NG4 gets on here is entirely artificial
