>>729123768Since i won't bother making a youtube critique, i'll just take the chance to rant here.Elden Ring's lore was just straight up boring to me, the lore of Dark Souls was much more simple yet elegant to apply to the human condition than elden ring was. Elden ring seemed to mostly just be a story akin to that of the greek mythological ones, just a bit more boring and meaningless. Some of them may have more to learn or reflect on than others, but i feel like the ones in the souls series were better and hit harder.Also the worst aspect of ER were the bosses, most were just fine with an unsettling amount just straight up being bad or just horrid (looking at you foreskin duo). The summon spirit ashes should've never been a part of the game as it's mostly just an excuse for bad boss design.I'll also go to my grave salty about malenia as she was obviously supposed to be in the sekiro dlc and i will forever be a salty bitch about the sekiro dlc never coming out.btw any good games on the winter sale? thought about buying manor lords, but idk. Want something city-builder/management sim, like anno 1800, any of the pdx releases, total war or anything semi-rts to grand strategy.

I wasnt on anyone's side to begin with, Goldmask made a more convincing argument simply by pointing at the tree and having his squire chimp out that he didnt get it. Perfection because its said to be logically perfect because thats what perfection is, is much more alluring than fuckshit children complaining about whether what their mother did was right or wrong.The game is so shit narratively that the person who explains your journey is only seen three times so why would i give a fuck about the motivations of the people im sent against? Im not some mindless drone like the player character is said to me im going to have some opinions about the horseshit thrown at me during the game and im going to reject it outright if it both doesnt make sense and has nothing to do with me. Nobody can even give you a direct answer about what Ranni wants because the game doesnt actually tell you, which results in the playerbase going "are you STUPID? you go to SPACE with your WIFE" like thats a narrative payoff to anything but a shit vague story

>>729125256i was on my way to Frenzy Flame ending and since there were no guides out i relegated myself to it and then the game gave me a way out after i naturally found Placidusax or whichever dragon it was so i used the needle and went with goldmask in the end when i found him clapped out on a hill somewhere and picked up his perfected golden order then used it when given the option.I finished the game thinking "what a load of shit" when the ending was just my character sitting on a chair and the narrator saying "and everything was fixed the end"

>>729124648The lore for ER was fine but I just didn’t care for the aesthetic design of it. If you want sci-fi endless space 2 is fun especially with friends. Crusader kings 3 just released an Asian themed dlc but don’t give them a cent just pirate it if you want to play it. Age of wonders 4 is pretty fun too. I played manor lords months ago before it’s full release and it wasn’t that bad but I don’t know what state it’s in now.
