How important do you think is historical accuracy in games that are set in historical/mythological settings?

accuracy is second to intrigue and drama.
historical accuracy can be an aspect of a game that adds something extra to the characters and setting, but good stories can be written with no accuracy at all.
although, if a story is poorly written and poorly delivered and poorly thought out, gamers/viewers might latch onto the inaccuracies as flaws, since those are easy to grasp. it's a lot harder to articulate "this characters motivations and dialogue dont' make sense for reasons XYZW."

of course, most people just don't like seeing niggers in their stories, and people who worship niggers couldn't write their way out of a chat gpt prompt.

I think "Historical Accuracy" is a deeply misunderstood concept used to dismiss beautiful but impractical aesthetics by ignorant people who genuinely believe the Dark Ages were 99% peasants wearing brown potato bags.

I don't think you have to stick to it 100%, but you should at least try to somewhat represent the thing you are based off of.
Like the prince of egypt could have absolutely phoned in the egyptian setting, but they didn't, and its a piece of art because of that.
