Saying this game gets good once you start going for high ranks is like saying DMC2 gets good once you start going for high ranks. Having arcade philosophies does not inherently make a bad game good.

If you only play video games just to rush to the credits, then yes, arcade games will be lost on you. It's ok. It's not for you. Nights sucks for different reasons anyway, but you need to understand that the point of games is to not necessarily be just shitty interactive movies that you play one single time.
