They talk about wanting to unite all life into one, even when it would gain them no tactical advantage to do so. The "good guys" view them as evil because of the way they wage war not for their reasons, even though humanity itself has always waged brutal wars.
They only wish to unite all life across the universe into once whole and thus prevent galactic war and promote peace

They really just want to make us whole

Yeah, just like how I "unite" all sorts of food into the same thing. Shit
>>
At least name the Terraria mod you're talking about faggot

Can y'all chime in about game number 3? I liked it as a kid, but I remember seeing people shit on it.

It's dead space, trog. It would have taken less effort to just Google "brother moon" than it did for that riveting comment.

I'm not retarded enough to call anything the Brethren Moons do "good" but it's disturbing to contemplate that they are actually our gods
Like, their religion is objectively real and their claim is legitimate
The fuckers created us and the entirety of "life" as we know it is just a middle stage in their digestion cycle
>>
>>729136557
Dead Space (first one 2007-2008) was good.
The first animated in western style horror movie (prequel to the Isaac being on Ishimura) was great as it contributed to the world building, characters, events.
We knew at this point, however, that Visceral and EA were out to milk the shit out of everything and sell as many toys, comic books, and other faggotry as possible. The first game and movie have created enough mystery, warring factions to make it great.
Then the second game and second movie came along and they were so much more retarded, because instead of leaning into the church being total fucking lunatics they gave them some credit.
The third game... Is worse as far as weapons go. It has the worst shit monetization and locked behind paywall and multiplayer faggotry levels, it is an abomination of a video game as far as content goes.
And worst of all it ends the series in the most retarded way possible, which is the OP's picrel.
>>
>>729136635
I can't find it on tmodloader. Lying cunts.
>>
>>729136972
Oh so it's just boohooing about the veil of mystery being lifted and not getting what fans expected, gotcha.
>>
>>729136972
I know 3 was awful but I thought 2 was well liked?
>>
>>729136972
>And worst of all it ends the series in the most retarded way possible, which is the OP's picrel.
Having the balls to do the "yup, after three games, you're fucked. Bad end." ending was pretty much the only thing DS3 did right.
>>
>>729137870
partially yes, sure. I don't member all of it, because it was like a decade ago now, but I remember them both severing previous plot lines/factions for no reason as well as introducing newer plot lines/factions that also led absolutely nowhere.
Plus it's just a bad game as a video game. Weapons are shit. Monetization is shit. It's pay to play and pay to win. It's just garbage.
>>729140574
the opinions are split on the second one, but the mutated dogs in a church is when I personally thought
>yup, this is now retarded garbage
>>729141069
I understand the sentiment but it could have been done in a better way. The moon bullshit was shoehorned in the last moment, it had fuck all to do with ALL of the previously established lore and factions.
And if they truly wanted to do a game over, the should have killed Isaac off, but they still did not. So "end of series" my ass. Isaac kills (capable of killing them anyway) the moons by himself too.
>>
>>729135821
Saying brother moons are inherently evil is racist because they are minorities
>>
>>729137870
That guy doesn't understand that once you reveal what the mystery is, you can't put that genie back in the bottle. Visceral deciding to just end the series in the darkest way possible of "and then they all died" makes some sense thematically. It does however still feel pretty shit as an ending because they also did it so EA wouldn't try to fuck with their IP even further. That also failed, because EA made the remake by giving it to a bunch of faggot Canadians.
>>

>Visceral deciding to just end the series in the darkest way possible of "and then they all died" makes some sense thematically.
Yes, BUTT
they did not even do that. Do you remember the end of the Dead Space 3? Because I do. One planet is dead, well three planets if you count the one game happens on and then the moon itself, not a brother moon, just the human colony moon. Yet humanity is a multi-galactic species. Or could have been. They were fucking mining planets and doing warp jumps. How the fuck the destruction of 3 planets is the end of the universe/franchise? Especially when you consider the fact, that the main Protagonist is still alive.
And we establish very well during the game itself, that the moons are just another faggy retarded animal species, quite mortal, absolutely not divine nor celestial.
TL;DR: Isaac was still alive at the end of the Dead Space 3. Universe is still alive.

>Necromorphs now move at something close to Twitcher speeds by default.
>Dismemberment is useless as chopping off the legs simply stuns the Necromorph for a single second as they fall.
>On top of this automatic weapons, rifles, and shotguns that shoot center of mass are objectively the best weapons in the game by a country mile so dismemberment is even more useless.
>Most weapon combinations are terrible, particularly relating to the Force Gun, Plasma Cutter, and Line Gun.
>There is no reason to ever use an explosive over center-of-mass guns because it's 5 UA per shot vs. 2 UA per 20/100 rounds.
>As soon as you reach Tau Volantis the game loses all of its fun in both area design and Necromorph placement, sometimes throwing Stalkers into random rooms for no reason like that long stretch of a straight line to get to one of the buildings.
>Significantly more Stalker encounters for no reason.
>Did you like the Regenerator from DS1? How about two of them at the same time? How about three?
>Every single optional side area uses copy-pasted rooms and assets so as soon as you've seen one you've seen every single one in the game including the co-op rooms down to the spawn placements since they never change.
>If you play as Isaac in co-op you might as well be playing singleplayer; you gain nothing from the experience as everything is focused on Carver specifically in the co-op content and only he can see it.
>The entire story is terrible and they ruined Ellie's character to have anything happen in it. The only good part about it is the Moons.
>Autosaves.
>Hardcore mode is an 8 hour run with no back up saves like 2.
>There is an autokill segment in the last 10 minutes if you don't know the exact pattern the meteors take.
>Objects randomly stop having Kinesis work on them so you lose Hardcore runs because of stupid things like this.
>5 boring playthroughs to 100% the game.
>Have to play the Scavenger Bot loot boxes to get the Mk3 pieces at all.

In other words, a reproductive strategy.
Convergence is explicitly, unambiguously done for self-serving reasons.

This could have tied into Xenogears pretty well, like this was some version of a Deus before its finalized design or even if this just was a Deus and they were living through a period of its growth.

There's an unkillable necromorph at the end that eats up all your ammo right before the final boss fight and I hate it for that reason.

I always dug the concept of the brethren moon. It's properly cosmic horror and truly horrific as a concept.
It's also a satisfying answer the series long mystery of where did the necromorphs came from.
If only the writers of Mass Effect could think such concepts

>>

>that eats up all your ammo
No it doesn't. Shoot out a leg, shoot out an arm (Four shots total if you're using a Plasma Cutter), and then use Stasis. You now have like 20-30 seconds free to do anything you want while it recovers from Stasis, then has to regenerate, and then stand up.
The entire final gauntlet thing with the Necromorph spam + Regenerator can be done with one Stasis pack. I do it every single time in my Hardcore replays. Just run past everything that spawns until you reach the Marker and do the Regenerator delay strategy when you're in a room solely with it like after you open the big door at the end of that bit and have to run around some objects.

That is not how a planet cracker works and people need to stop thinking planet crackers can just magically crack planets with some sort of laser. They require people to literally go to the planet for months digging out locations to place gravity tethers so the planet cracker can fly in, attach to the tethers, and then fly away fast so it rips a chunk out of the planet. It doesn't carve a planet, it doesn't shoot at the planet, it connects to stuff preplaced by humans on the planet itself.

>I wanna to slap the corporate dick out of your mouth so much it's unreal.
Just because corporate may or may not have had a hand in making them doesn't mean it's automatically bad. Corporate was the one that forced CD into making Lara Croft white and English.

The remake is lowkirkenuinely great aside from a few nitpicks. If you enjoyed DS1 or 2 you'll like the remixed levels and way things flow.

DS1 and DS2 are not the same. DS2 is shit. Fuck off with mixing it together with a good game.
>>
>>729145392
I meant the obelisk from Dead Space which was later referred to as the marker. The lore of that artifact. It stopped xenomorphs. It's THE antidote. And there are plenty of these obelisks scattered over different planets. Humans even created a replica using Isaac in a semi-retarded movie between the first and the second game. Called Dead Space: The Aftermath, if memory serves.
All that shit is to say
TL;DR: The fucking markers/obelisks could have saved the universe and whatever humans. It's true lore. Canon.

>>
>>729148735

The Stalkers aren't dogs; hey're heavily mutated Necromorphs.

And don't forget about the crypt in the Church's lowest level. That's where they keep hundreds of frozen bodies that are being turned into Necromorphs.

That would explain why there are so many different kinds and in such large numbers in the church.

What's up with these? Little edgy shits need to post their contrarian opinions trying to paint antagonist factions that bring untold evils onto humanity because Becky rejected them? You gotta jump through some real hoops to even begin justifying your position, and for what?
