Are Keychron Keyboards good for gaming /v/?
its just a mechanical keyboard
I have a k4 and have zero complaints
Great entry keyboard if you don't want to bother with customizing your shit.
their keycaps are smaller than average and their keys are flat compared to boards with more elevation between each row
>>729136151I have one and it works just fine
>>729136525That's where I'm at doe. I don't want to do any of these retarded group buys or build my own I just want a high quality one even if I have to pay extra for it
>>729136552yeah I didn't like the keycaps mine came with, I swapped em all out
>>729136151>doesn't even have a built in cable>have to use a cuckport that will slowly wear out.
>>729136151I love keychron ergonomics but every single keychron keyboard I've bought has had major issues. Their quality control must be spotty, because all 4/4 of them had different dying keys. Sometimes DOA, sometimes after a few months, sometimes after a year. I learned how to solder and bought replacement switches to fix them myself, even, but eventually I gave up on the trouble of it.
>>729136151Yeah? Maybe not out of the box though, I didn't like the keycap profile my q3 max came with. I don't even know who this weird tall profile is for because it didn't feel good for gaming or typing, so I just swapped it out with regular ones and I'm happy. I also changed the switches but that's more a personal preference thing.
>>729136151>gaming keyboardyou want an hall effect keyboard then
I got the meme Amazon budget one with removable switches. It's been pretty good but I am missing my numpad.
>>729136151It's a keyboard.
Are Lemokeys just cheaper Keychrons?
Keytroon keyboards are exclusively for contributing to open source software projects while wearing programming socks.
>>729136151I have a Q6 and it's been good, I got barebones and gave it some silent browns then grabbed some custom keycaps.
>>729136754Keychron is overpriced in general, for what it offers.
>>729136819when was the last time you went 24 hours without thinking about a tranny
get yourself an aula f75 for 35 bucks off Ali.best purchase I've had.linear switches are great.
>>729136973Prolly the last time him or any of us got 24 hours without a tranny affecting anything we're interested in. How well do you think that goes?
>>729137170seems to me like your interest IS them, otherwise you wouldn't bring them up unprompted in a keyboard thread
>>729136151I like the color palettes because I had it up to here with the RGB gaymen keyboards so something that doesn't light up for no reason is good for me.That said the prices are too high for what I am getting, and it is almost always some weird manufacturer.
>>729136674adding onto this: anyone have any good suggestions for a basic mechanical keyboard similar to a keychron k4v3? I just need a basic white backlight so I can clearly see the keys in dim lighting.
>>729137496I think we all have an interest in them going away forever, yes. Thankfully you seem to finally understand. Also ywnbaw
It's okay but the linear switches I got aren't as good in some scenarios where I need a bit more reaction time cause I have to press in so deep and honestly it's rough on the hands after many hours and daily use. get other switches or shorter ones imo
Just bought this for $20 and coming from 5$ Logitech keyboard I feel like this is really clunky to use for fps gaming. It's really good for typing and the sound it's satisfying tho.

>>729136151I have the K2 HE. It's a fucking meme for the price. Hall-effect was considered the holy-grail a few years back, since they can last forever and be super smooth. The other 'gaming' benefits is just stupid marketing.>but you can use it in analog mode for racing gameStill better to just use a pad.>but you can do this precise strafing in FPS gamesSituational bullshit that only matters in super high-level play>but you can change the actuation point and user rappid-triggerNo reason to do any of that. The switches are quite loose when it comes to stem / housing fit, so they are wobbly and rattly, Keychron's thin keycaps make it even worse. For about 80 bucks you can get a good quality chink-mech and with hot-swap, switch durability is a non issue.
>>729136151I have this:https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-q6-he-qmk-wireless-custom-keyboardI like it, I turned all its lights off though and switched out the key caps.
>>729137640aula f99 pro
I bought this because it looked cute. It’s arriving either today or tomorrow. Hope it lasts
>have an old razer and an old logitech wireless mouse>Both are shitting the bed now which is to be expected since they are 10 years old.>Discuss with frens about it one time and said I'll just grab a 30$ combo mouse and keyboard since at the end of the day it doesn't matter that much>One consoomer fren goes apeshit at the idea, says I need a 120$ mouse for the precision and a 200$ custom keyboard for confortWas weird to see. The other lads were just as confused as me.
