Nah, I think the only I'd be interested in would be performance mods, and I'd only use them if I felt the performance was actively hindering my enjoyment.

Handhelds aren't so good for faster paced games, especially ones that make frequent use of the shoulder buttons because they're heavier and less ergonomically shaped than a controller. It puts a lot of strain on the tendons. Maybe some 3rd party grips would help, I bought one for my 3DS when the Senran Kagura games were giving me carpal tunnel syndrome.

I feel like if it wasn’t the shoulder button it’d definitely be fine. I could change controls, I guess I just don’t know what the best control scheme would be, I hate relearning muscle memory.
