Are there any games with a sort of mercenary dispatch system where you can customize your mercs and genuinely feel the loss of a merc you built well if they happen to die? I played Battle Brothers and Gladiator Guild Manager looking for a game like that, but neither really fit. I bought Dispatch and really liked the choices in terms of who you send where and how you build them, but it was largely just a Telltale game with inconsequential choices and didn't focus on that Merc management that I'm looking for. Are there any games out there with the roster management of a game like Dispatch? I basically want to play Fantasy Football, but without knowing anything about sport.
