I said it last night, Ultimate's final roster is not the end-all-be-all, far from it. If they still have people requesting characters, that means they still have picks that'll make people happy, even if they aren't 'hype'. Smash doesn't need hype, Smash needs to be reeled in and managed properly, and going back to the core basics. Focusing on Nintendo characters is also easier on the budget. You have to think logically, can they really afford to do Ultimate again? Bringing in EVERY 3rd party from assists, mii costumes and spirits? Because they talk a big game with re-releasing Ultimate without realizing how much has to be brought back.

Its because these people aren't really fans of Smash or Nintendo. They saw a series they like (that wasn't a Nintendo series) and now they demand more of those characters from the series they actually do like. Maxamillion Dood is the e-celeb version of this as he didn't give a shit about Smash Bros until they added Cloud and praises Smash endlessly now.

Most likely it will go back to being about Nintendo just due to the cost. There is no way Nintendo will want to pay for the licenses for these characters and the companies will probably want them to be DLC instead so they can collect royalties. Also, with how Nintendo has been, I think they'd want to push their own characters over adding Master Chief Pauline, Oatchi and Sylux are the 3 that come to mind. It is. Smashfags do hype up whoever is in the game and make them seem bigger than they really are. I think Nintendo wants the same hype and energy for their own characters rather than other people's characters. Is there any hope for the gameplay of Smash 6? In Sakurai's own words, it's unlikely that we'll get another game like Ultimate, so it'll be inferior for rosterfaggots. But he's basically made the same game three times since Melee, and each of them is a worse gameplay experience than the fanmade alternatives. Project M, Project +, HDR, and especially Smash Remix all feel better to actually play than the official games. And Smash clones are finally beginning to get good.

Make the axe faster throw out faster. More generous hitboxes on Smash attacks. For differences I'd make Richter move faster, have faster dash attacks and downtilts that give more distance while having his Holy Water travel on the ground, round it off with a higher Up B and replacing his limp whip with Nathan's whip spin.
