Facebook groups and group chats ruined the internet for me. Instead of niche forums for everything you had facebook groups that were easily infiltrated by normies.We had a vibrant forums scene in my town with multiple forums dedicated to different hobbies like gaming, meetups, making friends and stuff and they all died after facebook came out.Now it's all mostly done via discord servers where you have to know someone to be invited since they aren't public and there's no way to search anything so it just turned into inner circles.You can call me a boomer complaining about new thing bad but discord and facebook really made the internet more isolated and anti social.
