What is the worst mission in video game history?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNH2ddYXlBg
anything that involves>trailing somebody>escorting somebody that walks slower than your running speed or faster than your walking speed
>>729159559>escorting somebody that walks slower than your running speed or faster than your walking speedthats 90% of Days Gone
>>729159298Half the missions in Jak 2 felt super jank.
>>729159559>escorting somebody that walks slower than your running speed or faster than your walking speedIn Half-Life 2 dev commentaries Volvo said that this is the optimal movement speed for an escort NPC. And I believe that because no one ever did something else that turned out to be better.
>>729160860> this is the optimal movement speed for an escort NPCWhy?
>>729161293I suppose the logic behind is that you can go ahead a little bit and do something else while the NPC catches up but usually this doesn't work as intended and the NPC just ends up agonizingly slow in comparison.
>>729160860in shadow of mordor your character tethers to the npc and follows him automatically. that's the best system I've seen.
>>729159298Collecting Triforce pieces in Zelda Wind Waker.
>>729159298>shooter game>"you can't use your weapons in this mission"stuff like playing as ashley in RE4, fuck that shit.
>>729159298The Ada section in RE2make.
>>729159298I played this recently and I don't get the point of it. It's like Dying Light which came out 4 years earlier except worse in every way. Worse story. Worse graphics. Worse traversal. Bike riding is far worse than DL's parkour. Worse combat. The game is so empty and repetitive, feels like an early access indie game, there's nothing to see or do anywhere, nobody to interact with, no cool weapons to loot or upgrade or quests to embark on. So what is the point of this game?
>>729159903Why would you lie like that?
there are so many fucking missions in "story driven" rpgs where you just talk to person, walk to the otherside of town, talk to another person, then walk back and talk to the quest giver again. literally a huge waste of tme
>>729159298Destroying all roots of evil in Alone in the Dark 5I think the game, while janky, was way ahead of it's time and I love it to death. But that whole root burning thing was just terrible.
>>729165394this game is in my "to replay" list. it's been like 18 years but I remember enjoying burning stuff. I vaguely remember some driving section that was annoying.
