I played it for the first time this year (2025) as a 30 year old man, so yeah I'm pretty cynicalIt's straight up not a good game, the only thing it has going for it is the 90s SNES isometric 3D Mario aesthetic.The RPG mechanics are basic. The game is easy until the last portion which requires a bad form of grinding. The characters are bad and even the official Mario characters are total fan-fiction, like Bowser is your friend now? The isometric platforming is awful.
