now this is a proper action RPG game
>>729172583it's a bit janky and the stamina bar interrupts the flow of combat. I like how they implemented the social system, but it would be a lot cooler if you could have made a custom character.
Good game, underrated. The plot of where vampires come from and the plague is really interesting.Strong characters too, in a few years people will call this a pulp classic.
>>729172583Gigapozzed garbage before it became the norm.
>>729172583I've never seen duller "camera A, camera B" dialog presentation, and it plays a BIG part in the game. Combat is also just average.
>>729172790>>729173175problem is as far as vampire games go there's real slim picking out there. average game like vampyr becomes decent.
>disregard healing people and trying to unlock their diologue options>eat everybody you canyep, it's gamin time
>>729173175This was one of those rare games that was hated only as much as it deserved.
>>729172583all i remember is that i wanted to do a kill everyone playthrough but it was pita to do so i dropped it
>>729172583We need more AA games for sure. Then again Don't Nod basically sidelines their action games in favor in highschool Telltale simulators. >Remember Me>Vampyr>BanishersThere is a line of progress here as they get better at action, though.
I played it twice on release. They were too scared to force the player to make tough decisions. At the absolute most you night need to sacrifice one or two civilian npcs and obviously they made two npcs super religious or laughably evil so people could feel good about it and probably just kill them anyways. They should have made the game much tougher forcing you to kill at least 5-6 characters to progress, which would give much more emotional weight to their stories. As it is you're sitting there ingesting an entire novels worth of dialogue just for no reason.

Even playing on hard with no-draining policy you can still make it through the game relatively easily, minus some boss annoyance. You are effectively NEVER forced to choose sacrificing people for power.
>>729174571they're doing the racial pairing again for the their next game
how could a game released in like 2018 inferior to some jank released in 2004?
>>729172583yeah, proper shit...
https://youtu.be/QfB_4A-jL_kI remember laughing at this trailer because they basically ripped off Adam Jensen complete with >I never asked for this
>>729174690That said, if you want to get absorbed in a realistic post-victorian era London with Bloodborne-esque combat it scratches that itch but be prepared to get bogged down in a lot of unexciting dialogue. I think its very similar to A Plague Tale in a sense, I couldn't bring myself to replay that because you are given zero freedom on how you solve puzzles or progress through the game. But the world looks very nice.
