I don't actively set out to get every badge; or peak every ascent (already done the latter anyway). I only play to have fun with everyone else, improving myself as time goes on.

>>729186447It actually has an end goal, well that and when I bought the game I got it to play alone but I found out about the general which forced me to actually download it and play it instead of letting it rot in my backlog. Playing with others is a different beast than playing alone and it was first made clear when I died and gave up only for some anon to jump ALL the way down to save me a second later but my desire to not be a burden fought with my desire to not get in others way until I broke that habit unless I was sure no one was coming to get me. I found pride in growing as a player and pay back the kindness shown to me and it feels even better to guide new players and see them grow into becoming skilled as well. Combine all of that with the daily seed changes to keep things fresh and you get something unique.
