The thing I notice about act 3 is that things are not place well either. I kept stumbling on to the end of quests only to meet people later that said "oh you already did it". But the solutions to the quest where closer to the start point on the map than where the quest was supposed to start.

Baldur's Gate 3 is NOT woke.

You can literally do anything in the game, you want to do, and it won't PUNISH you for choosing the 'political correct' route.

You can literally create any character you want, whether it's straight or trans, and do straight or trans-shit if that is how you CHOOSE to play the game.

Now if there was a part of the game where you are forced to do gay-shit, or sit through a 5 minute lecture on gender-pronouns in order to progress your game, like in Dragon Age Veilguard... then that would be woke. Or if I you're a man forced to suck a cock to get a +4 sword, with no other alternative available at that point in the game, or worse, you have to settle for a lesser reward as punishment... that too would be woke.

heavily disagree, both the MMO-style itemization and the over abundance of SURFACE EVERYTHING made a lot of the game a complete nuisance (to say nothing of the dumb way of handling shields+status effects). Not enough to ruin the game, but heavily flawed.

Unlike E33, I wholeheartedly believe BG3 deserves the praise it gets and the rewards it's won. It wasn't my pick for 2023 but I can understand why it was goty.
The discussion around it is more organic and genuine compared to something like E33 which parades itself as a indie game where half of its identity revolves around being a "AA passion project that BTFOs modern AAA games and doesn't cost $70."

And by dipping you'd have 3 or more movements just to try and position yourself somewhere where the floor isn't on fire.
The gameplay centered around cheese builds, which is also why every fight would be so stun centered and completely broke the action economy.
