>10 years into development>fov still not higher than 110°>brightness still sucks>still doesn't feel real or immersive at all>games library is still a meme>refresh rate still makes you feel like you're having a seizure>still not comfortable to use for more than 30 minutes at a time>still overpriced as fuck>will never catch on with normies so if you reveal you have a vr headset you are seen as a turbo virgin incel weirdo
>vr suc-ACKKKKK!!!!!
>>729179867>Generic shooter elements>Sci-fi for no reason>Grabbing shoulder performatively for trailer, IRL you need to hold your hand specifically so it wont clip through the model>Plastic 2007 looking bimbos with small tits for some reasonGood luck with your asset flip
Stop looking sideways
>>729178878VR will never catch on until full dive is possible.
>>729180985>with small tits for some reasonThis is based though. Everything else I agree with.
Glasses are a dead end. You need SPHERES
>>729178878>still doesn't feel real or immersive at allDespite all the marketing it's just a type of electronic display, you get the same amount of sensory feedback as you'd get from an old CRT monitor.
This looks like an interesting developmenthttps://youtu.be/7l2mGg2bAEE>>729181641Not true.
>Shooting gallery>Move shit around puzzle games>Rhythmshit>CarshitIt feels like we've already exhausted what is capable with VR from a gameplay standpoint. Alyx and Beat Sabre are half a decade old and are still the only games worth playing. Fact is, VR very quickly loses its appeal, demands way too much from developers, and doesn't yield new and exciting experiences.
You question is what we call a loaded question.VR is infact very good in 2025.>fov still not higher than 110°there is no need for it to be, 110 is plenty>brightness still sucksbrightness is very much adequate>still doesn't feel real or immersive at allactually feels super immersive, unless you are a giga-autist retard like OP>games library is still a memethere are many many good VR games, and the thing that's lately been expanding the VR library by hundreds of gaming hours is VR mods for older games, namely UEVR mod>refresh rate still makes you feel like you're having a seizurerefresh rates are good and don't cause any bad feelings unless you are a giga-autist retard like OP>still not comfortable to use for more than 30 minutes at a timeheadsets are very comfortable, if not out of the box, then with cheap mods comfort is always achieved>still overpriced as fucktechnology is always expensive, just get a job lmao>will never catch on with normies so if you reveal you have a vr headset you are seen as a turbo virgin incel weirdonah OP you are seen as a turbo virgin incel weirdo simply because you are one
>>729182626That's kinda cool. Seems way cheaper than those omni treadmills I've seen.
>>729178878the people who make them dont want to damage their eyes for making slop
>>729179867Looks like dog shit, you stupid horny nigger
Poorie poorie, cope in furyCan't afford VR cause cuckie
Meanwhile AI has advanced so rapidly in just 3 years what gives?>from will smith spaghetti >to literally all the goon materials you ever desire
>>729178878VR isn't suppose to be good. It's meant to just sit, developing, in the background as niche incel nerd shit. In till one day society deteriorates to the point that you no longer want to go outside, and you realize that all the dreams you had as a kid, they were gone before you had a chance to achieve them. But then your phone flashes you an ad for some rentable subscription VR thing, and you think maybe you'll give a shot, your live service game just put out a crappy patch and you weren't watching your sportsball subscriptions anyways.
>>729178878idk i got a rift cv1 for 60 bucks a month ago out of curiosity, and i'm really surprised at how much fun i've had with this near 10-year old headset. only thing i dislike about it is the resolution.getting a steam frame day 1.
>>72917887810 years ago it was as basic as a monitor strapped to your face (or a phone). today, its still that but expensive to enjoy any developments (vr "gloves", haptic feedback vests/wear). im on a quest 2 and its basically the wii but the controller loses signal when moving too much and the headset is uncomfortable in long periods. Until we have a convenient and affordable solution, vr doesnt have a long road. once we get cloud glasses that stream everything and have ai integraded vr will truly take off.
>>729179867I wish it was an actual game. it's good for cooming at least
>>729178878you have no idea what it's like to have anime in your room among the furtinure you know, valve frame cucks won't know the feeling
>>729188272HEAT is an actual game on steam
