Why is everyone talking about this like it's a game changer?Just tried it with several games on the steam deck with it only set to 2x and the input latency made it unplayable.
Let me guess you're trying to run 30fps games at 60
>>729188865I like it for BG1 and 2 with framegen. The walking and combat looks so much smoother.
Because you have to already have a base framerate of 60 fps dummyIt's not for improving performance in games that run like shit its for making games that are capped at 60 run at 120+
>>729188865in my experience it is completely useless>want to maintain steady 60 FPS, on old game, start seeing eldritch abominations on my screen>try more modern game to get some fps, game crashes along with the software 12 minutes in
>>729188865It's only you shilling it because you're the dev. Nobody cares.
>>729188865you can reduce the latency with flow control or whatever
>>729189512you are retarded, this software got massively popular all of a sudden
>>729188865It works on steam deck now?
>>729189634Everyone has a 5090 and uses Smooth Motion, Chang.
>>729188958i dont, game runs at 30fps adding 1 frame delay is like 33ms ping extra
>>729189673There's a decky plugin for it.
it's a compromise you dumbassit's not perfect but it allowed me to play bg3 at 120 fps on my 8 year old gpu when natively i get 30. Ofc the fewer base frames you have the more smearing you get and there is a bit of lag but who gives a shit in single player games when the alternative is spending thousands for a new rig

How to negate the input lag:>Game in borderless window>Turn on Vsync globally in driver, disable in-game>Enable antilag or reflex>Cap your framerate half of your monitors refresh rate (ex: 165hz monitor = 82fps)>Queue mode 1>Max frame latency 1 if you have 9000/5000 GPU (hardware flip metering), Max frame latency 3 for all older GPUs>Adaptive Mode>DXGI capture mode>Sync mode Off>Flow Scale 50% if 4k, 75% if 1440p, 100% if 1080p internal resolutions>HDR support on if you use it
