Armored Core 4A. Basically they are cradles where most of humanity lives since the surface is fucked. Theres a mission where you shoot them all down with your ally telling you how many lives lost with each ship you destroy

What is with fromsoft making hyper-depressing worlds? can a single one of there games NOT involving being set in an apocalyptic hellscape? it's almost as bad as the Russians Jesus Christ
>>729190313
I shouldn't need to leave the website just for a simple answer retard

Depressing worlds are more interesting, though I wish they would make something like king's field again instead of rollslop #812

I don't get it, why aren't these fuckers living in space instead of the high atmosphere. Imagine the sheer amount of energy you need to keep a 6 gorillion ton city flying in the air. If you had the energy to do that you might as well just launch them into space, then they won't be vulnerable to a single psychotic mercenary.

Did the ground crew sign off on this mission? You need like dozens of maintenance crew to keep a complex mech functioning, did the entire collective crew just wake up one day and be like, "yup, I'm okay fixing up the machine for killing a large portion of humanity, sounds alright with me".

There's a lot of people who fucking hate the people in the cradles I would assume.

There's Depressing and there's "oh no everything sucks and there's nothing you can do to make things even slightly better lalalalalalal". that Slavonigger speak, it's as tiresome as being around actual niggers. Now Lord of the Rings, THAT is depressing, but you know what's the differents between it and the bajillion soulslop seen the past 10 years? HOPE. That is what makes depressing worlds interesting, HOPE for a better future, no matter how small. something like I have no mouth and I must scream or lovecraft's core works? those are good because they we're considered novelties, not the rule.

How the fuck is LotR depressing? That's like as far from depressing as it gets retard.
>>
>>729191461
Why can't tolkeiniggers shut up about fromshit? We get it you hate depressing narratives and can't stop seething about soulsborne being depressing, but why the constant comparisons? It's not like every soulsborne game is that way, Sekiro and Demons Souls had slightly optimistic endings.

Make your own adventure game that's doesn't have themes of hopelessness, in fact there's such souls-inspired games that already exist.

They don't live in space because the corps did a spacerace MAD and filled low orbit with thousands of automated gun turrets. Main plot revloves around whether to cut power to these flying cites to rev up some fat anti-sat cannons to clear the turrets but consign the people living in them to the radiation polluted surface, or to keep the current order.
The specific mission where you actually shoot them down instead gets you in the shit with practically everyone else, but the guy who gives you this mission is part of their own personal terroist group well equipped enough support the mechs anyway (helped by the fact that said mechs can pretty easily level any opposition that might prevent access to supplies needed).
