i just reached gongaga and its just too much, you get to a new zone and have to do minigame bullshit in order to progress i just wanted to play the story not fucking grind queens blood. i think there will be like 4 more zones and more minigame bullshire ahead of gongaga so i think ill drop this game

Shot myself in the foot by watching a playthrough to just before Barret's hometown, and the story wasn't enough for me to bother with the slog and the cuhrayzee poisoned battle system. Did eventually skim a video playthrough and then watch from the Temple of the Ancients until the end, good story. I just cannot stand Ubislop. I feel compelled to do all of the stupid little things and burn out. I appreciated how in XV they were too incompetent to work those elements, in, so instead you had a bunch of empty wilderness which was perfect for slowly building vibes. Tbh wish they'd pushed the danger of going around at night so that you'd be forced to camp and pawn your exp instead of gaming the system staying up grinding for weeks.
