Any of you guys played this game? I need something to scratch that Darkspore itch now that it's forever unplayable, and I hear terrible things about POE and Diablo 4.And if it sucks, is there even a good game in the genre?
>>729202587I enjoyed it for a good long while, even as a casual participator of the genre. Because of my novice status, i can't delve into deep reasoning for why it's good. One thing I can say is that they have spent years fine tuning the balance. Endless changelog.
>>729202587I got 6 characters at 100 and almost 700 hours into it. I think it's pretty good, but I'm also an autist who likes killing things for loot to kill more things for better loot. It's dual mastery system allows for a lot of customization of what builds you can do and what those builds do primarily. The different damage types just end up being what color of VFX do you want to see while killing shit, but at least it allows all masteries to have 1-3 possible damage types to build around. Likewise there's so much actually good gear that you can make just about anything work to finish the game and do low to mid tier end game shit. It's good, but those first 20 some odd levels are the most boring.
