It's more of a hack and slash affair—dodge and parry attacks and wail away. You deal more damage or do an efficient run if you cycle between your teammates at the right moment.

Ready for wife!

But man there really isn't much to do after you're caught up, all the areas explored, and all the events and quests done. Sure, it took about 600 hours to catch up, which was plenty of content, but now I'm just farming mats and it's not very thrilling. Hope the new area is a big one.
