I have serious choice paralysis when it comes to games and it's prevented me from playing much of anything this year. How do people avoid overwhelming themselves? I really hate that I have a backlog in the triple digits.
>>729202695Not a problem for me because I simply cannot be overwhelmed. I played 701 video game demos this year, before we even get into full games.
>>729202695For steam, I put the dozen or so games I'm the most interested in into a category called "active" so it's the top one, and then if I don't know what to play I'll literally just go in alphabetical order. This does mean I'm probably never playing Wooden Ocean, let alone Xanadu Next.
post a list of games and you have to play the first one that someone replies with. the decision will be made for you
I see a game I want to play, I buy it, I play it.It's that simple.I spent most of my 20s when I was in uni going through my backlog, beat thousands upon thousands of games from gens 5 and earlier via emulation, so there's nothing for me looking back.
>>729202695Happens to me, too. I just toss a coin and pick like that. Usually what I call heads is what I want to play. Going to a virtual roulette creator works too. You have to follow through, though. Don't make Lady Luck angry.
stop doing what you are actually doing with your time and you'll have no choice but to play a game
>>729203324B-But that means I can't waste all day on imageboards!
>>729202695There's this website called wheel of names. Just put the top 10-20 on it and let the lord decide.
I do my best to not fall into my own autism traps.Like, I remembered c&c ra2 and wanting to play that again so I bought the collection on steam and thought "eugh I should play the whole series starting from 1 to see the progression" but I knew I'd burn out before getting to ra2 so I made myself just dive in on that one.
>>729202695Just force yourself to play.
>>729202695Just open a game and play it you neurotic retard choice paralysis doesn't existThe real problem is that everything sucks
