What causes this?
Limitation on calculating physics
purely socioeconomic factors
This is extremely reddit-coded / millenial-coded.This is like how redditors talk about science.

i imagine the "oof" is from worrying about the scarf clipping into a hundred different armor types
We figured out realtime bouncing rays of light before we figured out how to make long hair not glitch out or clip...
Model clipping will never not be a problem.

>>729203927Making something wholly new is easy.Changing existing code is the hard part, especially if it's legacy shit built by someone else a decade ago who's not there anymore that you barely understand how it works and the slightest tweak can fuck up everything.
Scarves need cloth physics. If that's not implemented already, that's a new subsystem for one small item. Most games don't do runtime cloth physics cause that takes processing time and processing time is at a premium in gamedev.
>>729204582>Just take a massive shit on your game's performance so little gay anon can wear his little gay scarf and so that subhuman poorfags complain about the frame rate.
Watching /v/ talk down on game development is hilarious. It's like watching a guy so fat he needs an air tank talk down at the Olympics.
>>729204694Coding a new piece that won't be shit eventually is just as equally hard as tweaking shit code that wasn't designed to be worked with in the first place, because it requires the same level of understanding, little bro. If you are dumb enough to think>Making something wholly new is easy.then you are creating the problem>Changing existing code is the hard partbecause you never put enough though in your program.
