Just compare the absolute nothingness that is Mortal Kombat when you compare it to games like Starcraft or Command and Conquer, two games that actually let you peer into another universe.

I think the main problem with fighting games is they are still bound by their arcade origins and the whims of their extremely autistic communities.
Good for them, honestly, but it pretty much makes casual play of these titles worthless.
